The Redlines to Celebrte Release of Double EP Produced by Acclaimed Eddie Ashworth

APRIL 16, 2023 (PITTSBURGH, PA) — Club Cafe in the South Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA will host an album release party for The Redlines, a rock & roll band from just North of Pittsburgh on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 8:00pm. The 5-song EP, “Kick Out Tomorrow”, is the follow-up to 2022’s “Kick Out Today” both of which were produced and recorded by Eddie Ashworth (whose credits include Sublime, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Great White, Frenzal Rhomb, Slightly Stoopid, Bargain Music, and Pennywise) and continues the band’s exploration of garage rock subgenres that also touches on punk, soul, glam rock, and 50’s rock & roll.

“We challenged ourselves on this EP to get back into the studio as quickly as possible in order to get ahead of the vinyl production lead time so that we could have something to release in the spring of 2023,“ said vocalist Brian Seese, “We only had a month to get these songs figured out and that includes finishing one just two days before we recorded it.”

The band, consisting of Seese and Jason Lizzi on lead vocals and guitar, Tony Vinski on bass and Sandro Campagna on drums (who has since stepped down and has been replaced by Sam Berman), returned to Ashworth’s home studio, The Oxide Shed, in secluded woods just outside Athens, Ohio.

“This time around was even more comfortable than before since we knew what to expect,“ said Vinski. “We spent a week as Eddie’s houseguests, building upon the collaborative atmosphere that he creates for all his artist…and drinking more than a few bottles of Sandro’s homemade wine.”

Mastered by the legendary Gene “The Machine” Grimaldi at Oasis Mastering (Sting, Lady Gaga, Rancid, The Interrupters), “Kick Out Tomorrow” will be released physically on CD and digitally by Swade Records while the the double-EP on 12-inch vinyl will be released by Katzulhu Records, labels that are both based in Pittsburgh, PA.  Guest musicians include Jeremy Schaffer on piano and organ and Kari Rutushin on backing vocals, highlighted on the first single, “Take What You Can Get”.

The album release party at Club Cafe starts at 8pm with local bands No Sleep for Zombies and Paging Doctor Moon. Admission for this 21+ event is $12.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door.
